                         Update on "The SAFETY OF  VEHICLES @ COST OF PUBLIC SAFETY!"

As per the advise of the Assistant Commissioner, Ambattur I submitted the letter to the Manager, SIDCO Industrial estate , Ambattur with a request to do the needful for removing the encroachment of public platform. The said letter is copies and pasted below for reference of the viewers. I also personally visited SIDCO office on 3.1.2019.

Sub: Encroachment of platform at Pattaravakkam road-reg

 

This  is to bring to your kind perusal that the Pattaravakkam Main Road platform is encroached by the newly opened canteen. They developed a mini garden and using the space for parking the vehicles. Similarly, one office namely, Rustopper has also developed the garden in the platform, in front of their office and put a fence. They are also using the space for parking/water washing  their four-wheeler/two-wheelers. The highlight of all is, they displayed the "No parking "board in front of the fencing gate and not allowing the public to use the platform.  One more office namely SCB enterprises are parking the JCBs in the platform. So the entire stretch of the platform is encroached by these offices .

The encroachment of platform by the abovementioned canteen/office is highly objectionable and creating a problem for the public. The public is unable to use the platform and is forced to walk on the road where heavy vehicles like water tanker, buses are plying. Actually, it is a threat to the public. Moreover during rains , it is really very difficult for the public to walk on the road where water stagnation is there and vehicles are plying fast. 

The companies situated at SIDCO Industrial area are paying maintenance fees to CAAIIUC once in a year. Since Central Warehousing corporation is also paying an amount of Rs  36,000/-every year to CAAIIUC, am making  this letter an  official one. 

I sent emails and letters to CAAIIUC/AIEMA to take necessary action for removal of encroachment.  But, so far no action was taken by them, the reasons known to them. I brought this to the notice of Corporation of Chennai, Ambattur , but they expressed their inability to take action on this, as this area is coming under the control of CAIIUC/AIEMA.

I brought this matter to the notice of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ambattur,  wherein he asked me to lodge  a compliant with  SIDCO and informed that he will render full support to SIDCO for removal of the encroachment by the said companies.

An early action is highly solicited.

Madam,

This has reference to my visit yesterday, 3.1.19 to your office at Ambattur, wherein since you were out ON Duty, spoke with your office Superintendent regarding encroachment of public platform by M/s. Rustoppers, canteen Heat Foods private limited   and    SGB Enterprises who are running their firm/canteen at Pattaravakkam high Road, (near  Telephone Exchange), at EB road side.

Today morning I had call from your office and the man who spoke with me has told that to avoid the encroachment of tea vendors the said companies were allowed to occupy the platform. While appreciating the action taken by your goods elf for having removed the encroachment of tea vendors in and around Ambattur,  it is to bring to your perusal that  the platform which  is meant for public and now not in a position to use the platform by them  and forced to walk   on the busy road where heavy truck vehicles are plying.

M/s. Rustoppers has developed a garden put fence &  two gates locking the same . So the said portion is under their control and public is not able to use the same. Next to  this office canteenwala opened and occupied the platform meant for public. Next to canteen, M/s. SGB is using the platform to park their JCBs.   

Initially I reported the matter to CAAIIU and AIEMA during October 2018. Mr. Krishnamurthy is reluctant to take  any action the reasons known to him. Then I reported the matter to Mr. Karnan, Asst Comm., Ambattur. He has guided me to report the matter to you and hence I submitted the letter to your office yesterday. Mr. Karnan, AC has also assured to give full support for removal of encroachment .  

Am attaching few pictures also for your reference. I am ready to give full support to you, madam. Even I am ready to be present at the time of taking action for removal of encroachment , with you.
