The update on my last week blog on  "The SAFETY OF  VEHICLES @ COST OF PUBLIC SAFETY!" I have reported the matter to The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ambattur with a copy marked to The Public Works Department, Chennai and The Corporation of Chennai, Rippon Building. The copy of the letter is also posted below.
Hopefully, I wish some action will be taken by them. I will inform the progress made in this regard in my next blog / next week.

Sir,
Sub: Encroachment Platform at Pattaravakkam Main Road-reg
Please refer to the reference on the subject cited above. In this connection, It is to bring to your kind perusal that the Pattaravakkam Main Road platform is encroached by the newly opened canteen. They developed the mini garden and using the space for parking the vehicles. Similarly, one office namely, Rustopper has also developed the garden in the platform, in front of their office and put a fence. They are also using the space for parking/water washing their four-wheeler/two-wheelers. The highlight of all is, they displayed the "No parking "board in front of the fencing gate and not allowing the public to use the platform.  Further, M/s. SCB Enterprises, the other company is using the platform for parking their JCBs. Thus the entire stretch of the platform is used by these companies and the public is suffering a lot.

SAFETY OF THEIR VEHICLES @ COST PUBLIC SAFETY!

The encroachment of platform by the abovementioned canteen/office is highly objectionable and creating a problem for the public. The public is unable to use the platform and is forced to walk on the road where heavy vehicles like water tanker, buses are plying. Actually, it is a threat to the public. Moreover, during rains, it is really very difficult for the public to walk on the road where water stagnation is there and vehicles are plying fast.
I sent emails and letters to  AIEMA, Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacture's Association)  and CAAIIUC(Chennai Auto Ancillary Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Company)Ambattur who are responsible for the maintenance of SIDCO Industrial Estate to take necessary action for removal of encroachment. But, so far no action was taken by them, the reasons known to them. Hence I brought to the notice of the Corporation of Chennai, Ambattur and even registered online compliant with the Corporation of Chennai. But they expressed their inability to take any action on this as it is coming under the control of CAAIIUC and AIEMA.
Hence I thought of seeking the help of The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ambattur.  Kindly do the needful for the interest of public safety. Am not the resident of Ambattur but my office is situated at SIDCO, Ambattur Industrial Estate.
Thanking you,
Yours Sincerely,

(K. RANI)
