"VEHICLES SAFETY @ COST OF PUBLIC SAFETY"

At Pattaravakkam Main Road (Highways ), Ambattur where heavy vehicles like water tanker, lorries, buses and cars are plying very fast, the platform meant for the public is occupied by one canteen and also by 2-3 offices, to park their two/four wheelers, JCBs. They developed a mini garden and put a fence so that the public cannot use that platform. They encroached the platform which is illegal. The highlight of this is they encroached the platform meant for the public by putting a fence and displayed the "No Parking board".

I submitted the complaint to AIEMA(Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacture's Association)  and CAAIIUC(Chennai Auto Ancillary Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Company) who are incharge of the maintenance of Ambattur SIDCO Industrial Estate. They failed to take any action on them the reasons known to them. In fact, there is no necessity anyone to give compliant but it is the duty of the AIEMA / CAAIIUC to rectify any such discrepancies/illegal activities noted in and around SIDDCO Industrial Estate. They are bound to do this as they are collecting maintenance charges from the companies situated in and around Ambattur Industrial estate.   

Since AIEMA/CAAIIUC are reluctant to take any action for this, I filed a  complaint with the Traffic police but they yet to take necessary action on them. The public is suffering a lot because of this and they unable to use the platform but forced to walk on the road. Definitely, it is a threat to the life of the public.

The companies and the canteen safeguarding their vehicles at the cost of the public safety, which is highly objectionable. In case no action is initiated by the traffic police I planned to report the matter to the Commissioner of police. I  even ready to file a case on them. Will update the progress made on this. I would like to bring it to the notice of all and hence releasing this blog.

I also request those who are reading this blog if possible to take suitable action and ensure removal of encroachment in the platform by the companies/canteen at Pattaravakkam High Road for the benefit and safety of the public.
